About the artist

Os Gêmeos, the Brazilian identical twin brothers Otávio and Gustavo Pandolfo, are internationally acclaimed for their vibrant and surreal street art that blends elements of Brazilian culture, hip-hop, and personal mythology. Emerging from São Paulo's Cambuci neighborhood in the late 1980s, they began as breakdancers before transitioning to graffiti, developing a distinctive style characterized by yellow-skinned figures and dreamlike narratives. Their work often addresses social and political themes, incorporating motifs from Brazilian folklore and urban life. Os Gêmeos have transformed public spaces worldwide, creating large-scale murals in cities such as New York, London, and Lisbon. Their art has also been featured in major institutions, including the Tate Modern and the Institute of Contemporary Art in Boston, solidifying their status as pivotal figures in contemporary urban art.
