About the artist

Between 1946 and 1950 he studied at the School of Fine Arts in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1956, he moved to Paris, met the art dealer Denise René with whom he became friends and began his professional life. He soon began his kinetic research with a group of friends/artists such as Jesús Rafael Soto, Agan, Tingely, Schaeffer, Victor Vasarely and Bury. His work was presented at the 1967 Paris Biennale and at the Grenoble House of Culture in 1968. His work is based on the study of vibrations and the minimal oscillations that cause these changes. In 1971, he created Groupe Position, together with Agüero, Duarte, Demarco and Garcia-Rossi. He has held numerous group and solo exhibitions around the world such as "Op Art", Palais Royal, Paris, 2006; "Los Cinéticos", Reina Sofia Museum, and a retrospective in Houston, Texas, 2007.
