About the artist

Ernesto Neto is a Brazilian Conceptual artist known for his immersive installations that engage the viewer's senses through touch, sight, smell, and more. Born in 1964 in Rio de Janeiro, Neto continues to live and work in Brazil. He studied at the city's MAM Museum of Modern Art in 1984 and later attended the Escola de Artes Visuais do Parque Lage in Rio de Janeiro. Neto's work explores the relationship between the mind and body and the way we connect with the world. His installations often blur the boundaries between physical and social spaces. His work has been exhibited worldwide and can be found in prestigious collections such as the Tate Gallery, Centre Pompidou, and The Museum of Modern Art.
